the cake sure looks good. pretty big too

  • MV Mummy says:

If you can’t get ‘em in with quality Mexican flame broiled chicken, the carbs and fat route will always work!

  • anjolie says:

That looks a lot like the cake at KFC-what a coincidence!

  • BigChetOC says:

That cake looks very similar to the one that KFC has been selling for years? KFC has grilled, El Pollo Loco has cakes….the universe has reversed itself.

Is that cake part of the Lindora program? If so, cut me a slice.

  • flipchik says:

Similar to what KFC is offering with their $19.99 10-piece meal deal (legs and thighs only though so white meat lovers may be bummed about that)… Can’t wait to see the prices..does the EPL deal include white chicken pieces too or just legs and thighs? Can’t tell if those are chicken breasts in the picture.

  • bpsqwerty says:

they copied KFC with the cake. but hey, I’m not complaining… it’s a pretty good deal.

  • hey now says:

I love EPL and their chicken is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than KFC grilled, but EPL you could have at least chosen another cake maker. Desperate!!

  • Hungry Guy in Orange says:

Sorry won’t go back to EPL(Orange location only)until they work out the bugs in their fancy Coke Freestyle soda machine. Manager personally told me this machine is a “mess” and sells out of soda frequently because customers don’t have a clue what flavor they want and throw out stuff that doesn’t taste good.

As for the bundt cake it looks like something Grandma used to make. And doesn’t KFC’s have a nice glaze on it?

Cake and chicken….a disturbing new trend!

  • flipchik says:

$19.99 for 9-piece legs and thighs, $22.99 for 9-piece mixed..I didn’t get the 14-piece so don’t remember the exact price for the legs and thighs but I believe the mixed was $27.99. These prices were at the Tustin Marketplace ELP.

  • Scott says:

El pollo Loco is my favorite, but the prices and cut backs on everything from tortilla’s, to napkins is RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!! When they gonna STOP raising the f______g prices? When is enough, enough? It’s a chicken fast food joint, I can eat a steak dinner at Chris & Pitts for $1.90 more! $9.42 for a sirloin steak, baked potatoe with everything, soup, bread and Au Jus…… Come on you guys give us a break from your greed and taking advantage of us!
