Thanks to reader Lori for flagging me on this:
“I went to the Sonic in Mission Viejo today and they have fliers and posters that they will be selling corn dogs for 50 cents on Saturday 10-31-09 from 5 to10 p.m.”
Brandon Wesselink, who operates the Sonic Drive-in in Mission Viejo, confirmed that all Sonics are offering the Halloween corn dog deal.
Sonic has two O.C. locations: 1632 N Lemon St., Anaheim, and 25502 Jeronimo Rd, Mission Viejo.
Other spooky deals:
- Taco Bell announced last week that it would be giving away free Black Jack tacos on Halloween night. (CLICK HERE for details) Do you know of any more?
- Chipotle Mexican Grill is offering “a Boo-rito” promotion Saturday from 6 p.m. to close. Dress up like a Chipotle burrito, taco or bowl, and you get a free burrito. Seems to me the best way to accomplish this is to come to restaurants wrapped in foil! Anyone else got better ideas?
- Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is offering a costume contest on its Facebook page. 3 Winners will get a $20 gift card. Rules: Take a picture holding your CBTL beverage in costume or take a picture with costume at your CBTL store and upload photos until midnight Sunday, Nov. 1 to the chain’s Facebook page.
- Free kids meal at Old Spaghetti Factory on Halloween evening. (More info: Bargain Babe blog)
- Cypress-based Baja Fresh is offering some special promotions for Facebook fans from2 to 8 p.m. You must download the coupons from the Facebook page. (promos include a $1.99 burrito, and coupons for party packages.)

My pleasure!
That’s a weird deal-I’m not even sure it is a deal!
I think I may have been the first one at the Sonic in Mission Viejo today getting the corn dog deal at 5:10PM. First they rang me up for 6 corn dogs at $7.77. Then I balked at they put it at $3.77 and then we just kind of agreed on $3.30. Then they started to get a bit swamped. Delish!
Chipotl-away!
