Burger King adds $1 Double Cheeseburger to Value Menu

After testing a $1 Double Cheeseburger for 18 months in certain markets, Burger King announced plans to make the cheap burger a permanent part of its value menu.

Wendy's 99-cent Double Stacker
“With more beef and cheese, the $1 ¼-pound Double Cheeseburger beats competitors’ sandwiches, such as McDonald’s Double Cheeseburger and Wendy’s Double Stack,” the company said in a press release issued today.
The lowdown: The $1 Double Cheeseburger features two flame-broiled hamburger patties, pickles, ketchup, mustard and two slices of American cheese on a sesame seed bun.

I like Burger King once in a while but I’m not a big fan of “double” burgers, but since this one is just $1, I might just try it, but I will have to get it without cheese.
I got to try that BK deal too. I am going to have cheese on it, I know its not Kosher but it tastes good….

not even the $1 DC will ehance me to go to a resturant that has very slow crews and typical lazy high schoolers. Which i do not hav eissues with, it is the management. 3 stores in my area and ALL i have had issues with .. service and order not being correct. Time out … too many other places
I remember they were $1 not too long ago. Why is this news? They were pretty big for a $1 Id say at the time.

This burger is much tastier and way better quality than McDonald’s and Carl’s Jr. The Wendy’s double stack is comparable, but Burger King edges it out slightly.
they had this double cheeseburger for a dollar years ago, I would get them all the time. Its a decent size, but I prefer Wendys. The condiments and the bun taste better, BK microwaves the double cheeseburger to melt the cheese.
i’ve compared the BK DC to Mcdonalds and Carl’s. in both cases the Burger King came out on top in value and taste.
Im just some guy….but i know a good burger. The Burger King $1 Double Cheeseburger is one of my all-time favorite burgers. And at a buck a piece…with five bux, you gotta feast. Its actually a very tastey burger and two will fill anyone up. Try the onion rings with ranch dressing and a dollar dc…cant be beat!
Oh boy. I can hear my arteries screaming already. This is going to be one tasty bargain!

BK double cheeseburger definitely beats the McDouble and anything Carls puts out! I noticed this deal the other day and am happy its back!!
I’ve scarfed down two-at-a-time before—–
They are yummy going down.
But I feel sick and bloated afterwards. Seriously.
And before all you organic vegan knuckleheads go all postal -
I DO NOT get that feeling when I eat just one.
I guess two are too much for my system to handle.
Lesson learned. Well it took a few lessons. But you get the idea.
I remember having these for $1 about a year and a half ago. Worked in a tax office next door to a Burger King and the $1 double cheeseburger was a regular item for me. As mentioned, add in some onion rings and you’re good to go.
I appreciate this deal, but I also look forward to trying out the new Jack In The Box offering. I saw on TV them advertising the Bonus Jack combo meal for $3.99. That’s the big-mac copycat sandwich, with fries and a drink for only $3.99 woo!
Very meaty burger. Filling for a dollar burger. I still think McD’s double cheeseburger and McDouble are better tasting but if you have a dollar and want to get full then eat the BK burger
BK cannot PAY me to into their going into their South HB store a few months ago. So foul! And I was hungry but had to throw it all away. Never again!
This would be a great deal if I could just find a BK near me. The closest ones to me have all closed down!
I am so bugged lately that all these fast food restaurants think they can call a burger a “double” with only one slice of cheese! Everybody knows that a double burger has two patties and two slices of cheese!

Had one yesterday (sans cheese) and it was OK for fast food hamburger. It was filling but not overly so and for a buck, hard to beat.
