As promised, I treated Fast Food Maven contest winner Jay Price to lunch today.
We dined on the famed “Spontanée” menu at Marche Moderne in Costa Mesa. (South Coast Plaza - Penthouse floor).
The $20 three-course lunch meal has become a signature special for the French bistro. (Note: Marche began offering this lunch special long before other recession-buster bistro deals.)
(Submit your Food Spotting photos: If you spot something delish or strange and want to submit it for the blog, email me at nluna@ocregister.com. Make sure you tell me: where you found it, what it tastes like and how much it cost.)
Thanks again! What an amazing meal! It’s obvious why it’s one of your favorites!
Not bad!!!
THis is my kind of restaurant. sounds like good food
I went there once for dinner and spent considerably more than $20, but it was worth it (for the very occasional splurge). I love the decor and lighting (for an elegant evening). One nice thing is that even their decaf coffee tastes very good, and that’s hard to get right . I recommend dinner there for that special “occasion” kind of dinner.
Marche Moderne is one of my fav places to lunch near So. Coast Plaza. The desserts there are lush, the food is fresh and lovely.
