As reported in this blog earlier this week, Burger King confirmed that it is now serving two bite-size breakfast and burger meals.
The new items are called BK Burger Shots and BK Breakfast Shots. The former is a mini-burger, or slider. The burger is topped with mustard, ketchup and two pickles. A la White Castle, Burger King is selling the sliders in a two-pack ($1.39) or a six-pack ($4.09).

The Breakfast Shots come with your choice of ham, bacon or a sausage patty. It is served with an egg, smoky cheese sauce and melted American cheese on a bakery-fresh bun. Also available in a two-pack ($1.49) or a four-pack ($2.89) during breakfast hours. This one definitely seems like the more innovative of the two items.
Tell us: Do the Burger King beef sliders sound better than the sirloin sliders Jack in the Box is testing in San Diego?
More Menu News from El Pollo Loco and Pat & Oscar’s:
I finally tried the new chicken carnitas from El Pollo Loco this week.
First reaction: flavorful, but odd. I just can’t get over the fact that it is chicken disguised as pork carnitas. Also, EPL says the chicken is chopped into little pieces like traditional carnitas. It’s not. It is more like chunks of chicken.
The limited-time item comes prepared as a taco, burrito, bowl or plate. I ordered the carnitas plate and tacos. Even though the plate comes with the two sides and tortillas, I thought it was kind of pricey at $6.49.
I preferred the taco version, which comes with chopped onion and cilantro. However, for the $1.79 per taco price, I’d rather buy EPL’s much more delicious crispy chicken taco.

New on the menu this week at Pat & Oscar’s is the Chipotle Pastrami Melt. The $7.99 sandwich comes with hot pastrami, melted provolone cheese, shredded lettuce, roma tomatoes, chipotle mayonnaise and pickle spears. It sounds delicious, but can it beat The Hat’s pastrami sub or the much cheaper Togo’s Hot Pastrami sandwich? (Note: The Togo’s pastrami sells for a discounted $3.99 on Mondays.)

I had the BK breakfast shots, pretty tasty.
They look cartoonish. Are those fake models, or what they’ll actually look like?
Nothing will beat the greasy, swiss-cheese hole’d beef, White Castle sliders though, they just can’t be topped.
Yay! Burger Buddies are back!
6 for $4+? what a rip !
The BK burger shots are really good, they might be small but they still have the same great taste!
I didn’t like the BK burger shots. The mini sirloin burgers at jack in the box are much tastier.
i worked at burger king before, the way things and the maintance and cleaniess is there i will NEVER eat at another burgerking ever.
Anyone actually looking at the price of these? $.66 EACH!! That is CRAZY.
You get a whole hamburger from McDonalds on wed for a measly 49 cents.
Anyone who falls for this is a major sucker.
