Pizza Hut launches eGift cards

November 7th, 2008, 6:05 am · 1 Comment · posted by Nancy Luna, Staff Writer

Pizza Hut continues to seduce Internet-savvy eaters by unveiling eGift Cards this week.

The cyberspace gift cards can be “purchased, shared and redeemed entirely online,” the company said. No need for plastic.

The virtual pizza gifts can be personalized and ordered at www.pizzahut.com/giftcards.

My take: This is a smart move by Pizza Hut, especially as we enter the holiday gift-giving season. As online ordering becomes more popular, I hope other restaurants offer these kind of services.

I’d suggest a Pizza Hut gift card for someone you really dislike. Making people eat pizza from chains is cruel punishment.
