SoCal fast-food chains step up online ordering

Looks like more fast-food joints are seeing dollar signs when it comes to online ordering.

Initially, sitdown restaurants focused more on this service.  But now more fast-food and fast-casual chains are seeing the value of giving diners a chance to make ordering takeout easier — and quicker! Food can be ordered, and sometimes paid for in advance, in just a few clicks.

Costa Mesa-based Live on the Go, GimmeGrub.com and Restaurants on the Run are among several local companies that provide online software programs to Southern California eateries. (Read more about Online Ordering here.)

Live on the Go, for example, recently scored deals with several popular fast-food chains. Here’s some of the company’s new clients:

Baja Fresh – food can be ordered from all Orange County-based franchisees.
