Tokyo Table among first to open at Irvine’s new Asian-themed mall

Tokyo Table, a contemporary Japanese restaurant known for its fusion dishes, will be among the first eateries to open at Irvine’s new Asian-themed shopping center. It opens Wednesday at the Diamond Jamboree Center, at 2710 Alton Pkwy in Irvine.

The lowdown: The sit-down eatery specializes in a variety of family-style dishes including: Fresh Homemade Tofu, Mochi Cheese Gratin, Sushi Pizza, Chicken Kaarage and Ishiyaki-style sizzling Unagi rice. All dishes are made for sharing. The restaurant’s bar features Asian-inspired cocktails such as fresh fruit saketinis and shochu beverages. Tokyo Table, which operates eateries in Beverly Hills and Arcadia, also has a diverse sake list.

Several Yelp reviews have raved about Tokyo Table’s creative foods, drinks and inexpensive Happy Hour menu. Yelp reviews on Tokyo Table. Average  per person check: $22.

That seems hefty, but get a load of this deal: From Wednesday, Sept. 17 through Friday Sept. 19, diners can eat at Tokyo Table and receive a gift certificate for 100% of your total check for your next  visit. The only catch: gift certificates must be redeemed between Sept. 20 and Oct. 20 at the Irvine location only.
Offer excludes tax and gratuity.

The Diamond Jamboree Center officially opens next week.  Other brands opening at the center: 85 C Bakery & Cafe, Ajisen Rame, Ayumi’s Japanese Grill, Balcony California Grill & Bar, BCD Tofu House, Beard Papa’s with Haagen-Daz Ice Cream, Bibimar BBQ Chicke, Capital Seafood, CeFiore Frozen Yogurt.
