First, Pizza Hut began delivering hot pasta. Now, Domino’s is delivering hot sandwiches. (click on photo to enlarge)
In an effort aimed at boosting lunch sales, Domino’s launched four varieties of Oven Baked Sandwiches this week for $4.99 each. All sandwiches are made with artisan Italian bread. The menu addition makes Domino’s “the largest sandwich delivery company in the nation,” said Patrick Doyle, president of Domino’s USA.
Here’s the lowdown:
Philly Cheese Steak: steak, American and provolone cheeses, with onions, green peppers and mushrooms.
Chicken Bacon Ranch: all-white meat chicken breast, bacon, ranch dressing and provolone cheese.
Chicken Parm: all-white meat chicken breast, tomato basil marinara, parmesan-asiago and provolone cheeses.
Italian: slices of pepperoni, Genoa salami, ham, provolone cheese, banana peppers, green peppers and onions.

I would be willing to try one. I went to school for a while at the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO and they had this local sandwich joint called The Sub Shop where they oven baked their sandwiches. Those were some of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. They, of course, had many more choices. We don’t have anything similar at all. The only type of hot sandwiches that I can find are things like Panini’s which are good, but not great. I absolutely love hot sandwiches and it’s pretty exiciting that Domino’s (of all places) will be bringing that to the market nationwide.
I would try them. That philly chesse steak sound real good!! I’m always looking for places who deliver so I don’t have to drive anywhere for lunch!
