Taco Bell video: scrounge for coins, get a great meal? View new ads

Taco Bell debuts a revamped value menu today. Click here to read previous stories on this. The Irvine-based Mexican fast-food chain will kick off its value menu campaign Sunday with these two spots:

#1: Shows people scrounging for coins in couches, coffee tables and cars to eat at Taco Bell. The chain’s new value menu price points: 79, 89, 99 cents. The message: it’s cheap to eat at Taco Bell.

#2 The Cheesy Double Beef Burrito was created by Taco Bell to compete against $1 cheeseburgers at rival chains. Here’s a spot focusing on this item, which the chain calls the “hero” of the value menu. Orange County connection: The drive-through scene (below) was shot at the Taco Bell at 2246 S. Grand Ave in Santa Ana.
