Starbucks adding breakfast wraps at some cafes

November 2nd, 2007, 9:49 am · Post a Comment · posted by Nancy Luna, Staff Writer

Looks like Starbucks is adding more breakfast items to its ever-expanding food menu.

During a Friday morning latte pit stop in Orange, I spotted two new Breakfast Wraps for $3.25 on the menu. I asked the cashier how long her store had been selling the items.

She said about two or three wesbx_breakwrap.jpgeks.

I bought an Avocado Bacon Wrap. (The other one was a spinach and feta wrap.) It looked like a breakfast-version of a McDonald’s Snack Wrap, as the egg and bacon were neatly wrapped in a small tortilla (photo, right).

It was definitely more portable than the English muffin egg sandwiches, which debuted in stores months ago. As for taste: the wrap got a big “thumps up” from my husband, Brady, when I brought it home for him.

In a statement released to me today, Starbucks said the new wraps “improve product variety and
make the overall (breakfast) assortment even more unique.” The items, available in more than 3,000 stores nationally, also expand vegetarian options for customers.
